MEETINGS |
|
Meetings are on Monday evenings at Shire Hall, 7-9pm. Empowering GovernanceMonday, 27th February at 7p.m. Against the backdrop of less frequent inspections for good and outstanding schools, and increased monitoring for satisfactory schools, there is a greater imperative now for governing bodies to be well versed in the criteria against which schools are judged. This meeting will provide an opportunity for governors to consider in more depth the key aspects of the new inspection framework and how the framework can be used to support school improvement. A particular focus will be how we self-evaluate and demonstrate the progress that has been made. We will hear about the experience of being inspected under the new framework from a chair of governors and head teacher of a recently inspected school. Finally, we will look at the questions inspectors ask and the questions we should be asking ourselves. Please let Jennie Leighton (Governor Services, 01452 425846) know if you are going to attend so that we can make suitable arrangements. Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TP.
